About Momo Beach House

Who It’s For: Nestled in Barangay Bil-Isan in Panglao, a small island just off the coast of Bohol, Momo Beach bills itself “the chilliest beach house in Bohol”. And it’s easy to see why. Momo Beach House is fully intended to be a place to unwind and forget about the outside world, for at least a weekend—though you’ll want to stay much longer than that. Momo Beach House has gotten positive reviews from the following:

Families: The resort has a few accommodations suitable for families, and a good number of activities that are fun for people of all age groups. Momo Beach House is also located in a safe area, making it a good choice for anyone traveling with children.

Couples: The sun, waves, white sand beaches, and heaps of peace and quiet create the perfect backdrop for couples to get to know each other a little bit better.

Solo travelers: Momo Beach House is great for digital nomads and anyone else trying to get creative work done. The resort also offers the ideal setting to catch up on reading and decompress from the pressures of modern living.

Groups of friends: the beach house has a number of accommodations that could fit large groups of adults, with extra beds available upon request. Momo Beach House’s location, features, and amenities have all the hallmarks of the ultimate barkada staycation -- if such a thing is possible.

Momo Beach House has a number of notable features, including:

Swimming pool: The pool offers a nice, convenient spot for a dip that’s only a couple of steps away from most of the rooms in the resort. It also offers a safe spot for a swim as the sun goes down. It’s also a great spot to teach kids to swim before you take them to the beach.

Beach Tree Cafe: This open-air café focuses on serving comfort food and offers a nice view of the pool and the sea. You can also order the fresh catch of the day from local and have your picks cooked just the way you like them. Beach Tree Café also offers free drinks from 3 PM to 6 PM.

Dolphin watching: Dolphins, of course, don’t follow anyone’s schedules but their own, but there’s a good chance you’ll see dolphins frolicking out in the waves right from the resort. Boat rides are also available so you can get up close with the dolphins.

Watersports: Kayaks and stand up paddle boards are available for rent. Sure, you could use them for racing with friends, but they’re among the most relaxing ways to enjoy the waters off Panglao island.

The following attractions are mere minutes away from Momo Beach House:

The waters of Panglao: There is a heck of a lot more to Panglao than white sand beaches. This tiny area alone is reputed to have more biodiversity than the entirety of Japan’s waters and the Mediterranean, combined. A number of dive centers are in the area should you wish to experience all this up close.

Yoga Barn Panglao: If your back’s all knotted from sitting at a desk all day, a trip to Yoga Barn Panglao might be for you. Some of the classes include morning yoga, sunset yoga, and yin/restorative yoga.

Hinagdanan Cave: This limestone cave is only a short drive from Momo Beach House. It’s one of the most accessible popular tourist spots in the area, and one of the most beautiful caves in the Philippines.
