About Le Monet Hotel

Who It’s For: Nestled within Camp John Hay’s mythical pine trees along Ordonio Drive is the delightfully artful Le Monet Hotel. This popular hotel is right in the middle of one of Baguio’s most popular spots but located a comfortable distance away from the hive of activity that is modern Baguio. Named for the Impressionist painter Claude Monet, the hotel’s façade is lit up by a distinct array of colored lights. This hotel is popular with:

Families: A selection of generously-sized accommodations at affordable rates make this hotel a favorite for families visiting Baguio over the weekend. The pristine surroundings and the long list of activities in Camp John Hay also make for lots of family fun and bonding.

Couples: For peace and quiet in Baguio just a short distance from the city center, Le Monet Hotel is hard to beat. Baguio is has a bustling urban center, so you actually need to look to find a place in the City of Pines that offers this kind of tranquility. Le Monet Hotel, however, is still close enough to downtown Baguio to easily walk or commute.

Companies: Le Monet is right in the middle of Camp John Hay, giving you access to a wide range of activities from golf and horseback riding, to paintball and visits to historical sites. The hotel has a function room as well as a good number of accommodations of different sizes, giving companies plenty of options for seminars, team-building activities, and more.

AMENITIES

Le Monet Hotel’s rooms have most of the features we’ve come to expect from today’s best hotels. Of course, like many hotels in Baguio, there is no air-conditioning in many of the rooms – it’s very unlikely you’ll need it. If you feel that you need air-conditioning though, be sure to arrange for it specifically when you book. Le Monet offers these amenities to make your stay more enjoyable:

Viva Verde Spa: Le Monet’s spa is definitely one of its highlights. You’ll definitely want to try out the Warm Bamboo and Stone Massage and the Crystal Stone Facial Treatment among the spa’s many offers.

Fitness Center: Gym rats and those who just need to let off some steam will enjoy the hotel’s fully-featured gym.

Heated indoor pool: There’s nothing quite like a swim after a long day. Thankfully, Le Monet’s pools are heated, making them a nice contrast to the city’s cool weather.

The Malt Room: The hotel’s steakhouse is one of Baguio’s best-kept secrets. The staff is well known for being quite accommodating with special requests.

Nyamphaes Series: The hotel’s function room can comfortably accommodate a fair number of people for intimate parties and other meet-ups.

Roof deck tent: The hotel’s roof deck lets large groups enjoy the fresh mountain air, making it the perfect venue for informal functions and events.

Famous breakfast buffet: The breakfasts at Le Monet are a favorite with the locals. Be sure to try their Eggs Benedict!

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS

Baguio is home to so many attractions, it would be impossible to contain them in one list. That said, here are a few of our recommends, given their distance from Le Monet, or their popular appeal:

Filling Station: Right next to Le Monet hotel is the Filling Station, a legendary row of restaurants popular with the locals. You’ll find options for pizza, ice cream, and even Japanese food.

Mile Hi Center: A few minutes away from the hotel is the Mile Hi Center. It’s well known for affordable fashion finds and a good selection of food options.

Paintball Republic: Enjoy a few rounds of paintball with friends, family, and coworkers just a short hop away from the hotel.

Ben Cab Museum: It would be a shame to stay at a hotel named for Claude Monet and not visit one of the best art museums in the country. It’s some distance away from Le Monet Hotel, but it’s well worth the hassle.

Mount Pulag: If roughing it on the trail is more your style, the tallest peak in Luzon is not too far away.
