About Hotel 1925

Who It’s For: Filipinos are among the most industrious, determined people. Many have worked their way from the bottom and up to the top of the stairs of success. Such is the story of Rufino “Pinong” Mojares, a Lipa, Batangas native, who survived the Japanese occupation and triumphed against tuberculosis at a time when there were no antibiotics for the disease yet.

As a tribute to the boy who worked multiple jobs -- from selling appliances and motorcycles to trading second-hand tires -- in order to make ends meet for him and his family, Hotel 1925 was born. The charming boutique hotel is built on the same location of the warehouse where Pinong established and grew his business. Decorated with bespoke wooden furniture, antique 1920s cabinetry from the family’s own collection, and beautiful Machuca flooring, Hotel 1925 is a simple yet luxurious retreat for the whole family.

Family Vacations:. Pinong worked hard not just for himself but also for the welfare of his family. That’s why many families will find Hotel 1925 an ideal location for an indulgent vacation. The 16 well-appointed rooms have modern conveniences seamlessly blended with Spanish colonial architecture, resulting in a unique charm that evokes comfort and elegance. With various tourist spots nearby, as well as in-house outlets that cater to dining and relaxation, every member of the family is sure to enjoy a wonderful vacation.

Day Tours and Overnight Stays:. Batangas is just a two-hour drive from Metro Manila, which is why it’s a popular destination for those looking for a quick yet memorable tourist experience. The entire province is steeped in history and heritage; in fact, in Lipa City alone, you will be able to visit various cultural treasures in just two to four hours. Visiting and staying in Hotel 1925 will give you a first-hand experience of the sophistication and hospitality that is unique to the city of Lipa.

Weddings and Photo Shoots: The elegance of Spanish architecture lends itself beautifully to romantic atmospheres suited for weddings. If you are looking for a colonial-era inspired location for intimate weddings and photo shoots, then Hotel 1925 is the perfect venue. The grand staircase, the lovely Machuca tile floors, and the bespoke furniture all contribute to a pleasing visual medley of classic elegance. The nearby churches and reception venues offer a variety of similar sophistication if you have a longer guest list. After the wedding, return to your room in Hotel 1925 which can easily be turned into a cozy honeymoon suite.

THINGS TO DO IN LIPA:

Batangas is a popular Catholic pilgrimage site as it is home to a lot of beautiful churches, both new and old. These include the San Sebastian Metropolitan Cathedral, the Divino Amor Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Vicente Ferrer, the Church of Our Lady Mary Mediatrix of All Graces, and the St. Benedict Monastery.
