Proprietors Eric Lee, Cheryl Lee, and Cathryn Lao went above and beyond to create the perfect toast – journeying to four different international airports, tinkering constantly with the recipe, plus hundreds of hours of kneading and endless formulation to get it right.
The result? A rave-worthy original you won’t find anywhere else called Café Shibuya.
Savor Café Shibuya's signature toast topped with everything under the sun – from smoked salmon and deep-fried poached eggs, to dulce de leche, cinnamon strawberries and green tea ice cream. And their frozen Ghirardelli-based Frappe? Well worth the brain freeze.

amazing bread-based desserts and confections
What makes them stand out is their amazing bread-based desserts and confections. Made fresh daily, their special bread is stretchier than your average dough, and with a pillowy melt-in-your-mouth texture brought about by a patented “side-panning” technique.Sasha Lim Uy
Seems like the perfect toast. And it probably is.
Soft, fluffy with a rich layer of butter. Seems like the perfect toast. And it probably is.Jerry San Miguel

Their Original Shibuya Honey Toast speaks volumes about the quality of ingredients Café Shibuya uses
Simplicity works the best for Café Shibuya, and their Original Shibuya Honey Toast speaks volumes about the quality of ingredients Café Shibuya uses. With just the right balance of sweetness and texture, you have a filling snack that’s easy on the sugar, but with buttery flavors seeping out of the toasted bread. A scoop of vanilla ice cream sits on top, but wait for it to melt a bit for a creamier, milkier taste.Mikka Wee

I’d give a hand to Cafe Shibuya. This is #NoOrdinaryToast.
I’d give a hand to Cafe Shibuya. This is #NoOrdinaryToast. This is not what I was expecting at all. I’d gladly return for their signature Mentaiko Pasta, Shibuya Benedict Savory Toast (signature toast topped with farmer’s ham, deep fried poached egg, and Shitake mushrooms – Yum!), or the Japanese-inspired Tonkatsu with Mango Mayo Toast, something that should surprise me more as I’m not a person who likes her crepes savory and salty ~ quite similar to french toast.Candid Cuisine
The food is equally as appealing as the cozy and rustic décor.
Its quirky interiors suit the young and hip crowd it aims to attract in the area, with a wall full of art giving them the perfect Instagram photo op. It’s a nicely-lit place good for catching up with friends. The food is equally as appealing as the cozy and rustic décor.Hola! Magazine Team
