Alqueria is the first venture into Spanish cuisine by actor-restaurateur Marvin Agustin and partners Ricky Laudico and Raymund Magdaluyo under the Sumo Sam Group of Restaurants.
Located at the heart of famed Mega Fashion Hall in SM Megamall, this coveted dining spot specializes in rustic and comforting Spanish cuisine made from traditional recipes. In fact, Spanish head kitchen chef Adrian Neto from Linyola Spainsays that many of the recipes were handed down to him from his family members.
Some ingredients used for Alqueria’s food are displayed right in front of the open kitchen (with a set-up that's similar to a bar), so you can see how your food is prepared.
Highlights in the menu include tapas but longtime favorites such as paella and the crowd-favorite succulent cochinillo.

The cochinillo is usually served whole, then (dramatically) cut into pieces using a ceramic plate, the way it’s done in Spain. This action shows guests the tenderness of the roast pork.
Oven-baked young (21-day old) suckling pig, the crowning glory on the menu. The cochinillo is usually served whole, then (dramatically) cut into pieces using a ceramic plate, the way it’s done in Spain. This action shows guests the tenderness of the roast pork.Rappler
The best dishes for sharing would be the Paella and Conchinillo, both of which are sure to turn into new favourites for everyone.
The overall experience at Alqueria is very good and is perfect for Sunday lunches with friends or family.Sky Gavin
When in Manila
It exudes a posh although a bit intimidating vibe, an almost open kitchen with wines and other ingredients on top and sophisticated-looking seats.
I prefer eating in restaurants outside malls because of the home-y vibe. Except for the noise from the outside, I like Alqueria’s ambiance. It exudes a posh although a bit intimidating vibe, an almost open kitchen with wines and other ingredients on top and sophisticated-looking seats.Ayi
