About Pampanga

Pampanga is another melting pot of cuisines, festivals and adventure in the country – and it’s driving distance from the city too which makes it popular for impromptu trips to the country.

They say ‘When in Pampanga – Eat!’ and let us give you a briefer on where to find the most delicious local specialties in this region: Bale Dutug by Claude Tayag is a gustatory experience to remember with a curated menu enjoyed even by Anthony Bourdain. Everybody’s Café is one of the oldest restaurants in the area, with a casual canteen feel. For superb fine dining we suggest C’Italian Dining – the branch here is the original one, raved about by many a foodie.

When you’re stuffed to the gills with delicious food and want to explore, Pampanga is home to a vast variety of theme parks and activities that are great for families and groups. Head to San Fernando, Clark, and Angeles for a wealth of things to do:

The Hot Air Balloon Festival is held at Clark every year and it’s one of the most-awaited annual local attractions. Admire the lights, get in a balloon or fly something else- evena kite! Zoocobia is a mini-zoo in Clark with delightful and unique animals to discover such as large ostriches, a bearcat and a jumping pot-bellied pig – perfect for the kids.

The famous Mount Pinatubo is here as well and you can visit its Crater Lake if you’re in for a bit of nature tripping. The Mount Arayat National Park, Dara Falls, and Hot Spring of Sitio Puning are also worthwhile places to stop by for relaxation and sightseeing.

For sports, head to Deca Wakeboard Park where they can teach you how to wakeboard with a complete set of equipment onsite. You can also choose to blaze through an ATV trail on your way to the refreshing Miyamit Falls.
