About Cavite

As the ‘Historical Capital of the Philippines’, it’s no surprise that Cavite is the cradle of the Philippine Revolution – where it culminated in the declaration of our independence on June 12, 1898.

Cavite’s main attractions are both historical and religious in nature: with Corregidor Island, Fort San Felipe and Sangley Point as places you can stop by and take memorable memories (and photos of) back with you. Art buffs can head to the many existing museums in the area such as the Baldomero Aguinaldo Museum, Museo de LA Salle, and the Cavite City Library Museum.

If you’re up for something a bit more on the mystic, stop by San Roque Paris where the miraculous image of Nuestra Señora de la Soledad de Porta Vaga is enshrined. Historical significance aside, Cavite remains a must-visit destination with a quiet and picturesque landscape.

If a sleepy, laidback holiday isn’t what you’re seeking, mountain climbing is one of the many outdoor activities you can do with Mount Pico de Loro’s famous climb within. There are eight world-class golf courses around too for veterans and for newbies who want to practice their swing.

A plethora of resorts are scattered around the area too offering everything from petting zoos and water parks to recreational and relaxing activities such as lounging in a pool chair with a drink in hand as you watch the sun set.

Cavite may not be one of the buzziest holiday destinations around but it’s definitely well worth the trip.
