About Baguio

Cool crisp air, pine trees for miles and warm loaves of cinnamon-infused raisin bread to take home, that’s the image Baguio evokes. It’s a respite for weary city slickers who want to sit back, relax and enjoy the cool alpine air with a few leisurely activities to keep their minds and bodies active.

One of the most popular places to visit is Burnham Park – it has a man-made lake with rowboats, a skating rink, picnic grove, blooming rose garden and more. It was originally intended to provide this bustling city space with a green place to repose in and until today, it remains one of Baguio’s loveliest natural attractions.

Kennon Road is another hotspot where you’ll see the famous Twin Peaks that nestle Klondikes Hot Springs Resort near one Kennon Road’s most beautiful waterfalls. Take a dip in the clear waters or marvel at the cascading crystal downpour that gets colder as you climb higher. Walk along Session Road for bargains you’ll only find in Baguio, or head to the Bencab Gallery and Museum for a dose of art (their café has refreshing drinks infused with mint which are a must-try since you’ll already be there).

Mines View Park is where you can take home a wealth of what Baguio is all about – fresh strawberry and ube jam, tasty sweet brittle, chocolate-covered cornflakes and other snacks which you can enjoy at home.

Of course, for those who want to play a round of golf, the Baguio Country Club is the best luxury option – they have good buffets too for the hungry. For traditional activities they still have horseback riding, and those who know how can rent a bike for one or a couple.
