3. They offer rare integrated medical services that are hard to find anywhere else.

The Farm at San Benito's nature-inspired Holistic Sanctuary offers a wide range of interesting integrative treatments that are supervised by licensed doctors and medical therapists. Some of the treatments include Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction and healing by an unseen "life force" energy channeled through intention.

Art Therapy is also offered here. With the guidance of an art therapist, it engages restorative activities to help enhance the creative process and achieve wellness from within.

Other interesting holistic treatments include Colema, Electroacupuncture, Psychoemotional Clearing, and Craniosacral Therapy.

4. You can see your live blood cells here.

One of their signature Wellness Consultations is the Live Blood Analysis. A sample of your blood is taken and analyzed through the use of a phase-contrast microscope by a doctor. It allows you to see a real-time visual representation of your blood cells, its variations, and other residues.

When I had this done, I was able to see the state of my red blood cells. Since they were clumped together, the doctor advised that this was a sign of stress, lack of sleep, and vegetables in my diet (which was rather accurate at the time). Unlike the stats showed in a regular blood test, it gave me a newfound sense of appreciation since I saw how my actual blood cells looked like!

5. It's a pet-friendly resort.

Yes, your furbabies are more than welcome to stay at The Farm at San Benito. Like you, they can use a refreshing break from the city!

5. They have a new Acqua Sanctuary.

The Farm has always been one step ahead when it comes to wellness luxury services. Their latest venture is the Acqua Sanctuary that fuses both art and science of hydrotherapy to give its guests plenty of health benefits.

The Ice Cold Shower, where a bucket of ice-cold water is safely poured on you. This encourages calorie burning and improves the circulatory system. It was a shock to my body at first to feel the icy water from the top down, but I truly felt rejuvenated and wide awake right after!

The Heated Bed Therapy is where you lie on a warm bed that has a tapping, rolling, and kneading motion to relieve stress and tension. It is done outdoors, where you can soak in nature's breathtaking beauty and breathe in the fragrant fresh air with only the whisper of the breeze gently passing you through. The Farm is truly a respite for those who want to reconnect with nature, too!

Stressed-out souls and those who just want an all-out pampering session will love it here. It has all the elements of a luxury spa experience: zen architecture, a relaxation lounge, landscaped gardens, and crystal-blue pools that beautifully surround it. The peaceful sound of flowing waters will also lull you into gentle relaxation. Once your pampering session ends, a cup of warm mint tea is served before you leave!

6. They have a sensory deprivation tank.

The Acqua Sanctuary is also where you can experience the Flotation, or also known as Sensory Deprivation Therapy. It's a unique type of hydrotherapy that simulates zero gravity that allows you to go on a deep meditative state.

It is recommended for those suffering from insomnia, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and even drug and smoking addiction.

The flotation tank contains large quantities of high-quality Epsom salt dissolved in warm water. Because of this, it makes you float automatically. The first few minutes felt daunting at first since the tank is sound-proof. and you are completely left alone inside. As I slowly eased into it, it felt like my thoughts and worries eventually "floated away". My body felt relaxed, yet my mind felt recharged right after.

7. A resident albino peacock roams the premises.

To complement its nature-inspired surroundings, beautiful peacocks and ducks freely roam around The Farm. Look out for Nirvana, the albino peacock!

8. The vegan food is delicious.

As a meat lover, I was worried whether I was going to enjoy the raw vegan food offered at The Farm at San Benito. However, the award-winning cuisine at Alive! Restaurant proved that I had absolutely nothing to worry about.

All the meals were remarkably flavorful and fresh since Alive!'s farm-to-table philosophy is in play. The menu is dependent on what's in season. It's also hand-picked from their own organic gardens! The enzyme-rich Tropical Fruit Salad with Homemade Yogurt, Healthy Cereals with Granola, and Banana Pancakes were the breakfast standouts.

Guests can learn how to make vegan meals and do juicing in their daily prep classes so they can continue to nourish their bodies even after they leave The Farm!
