Escala Tagaytay: A New Way to Experience the Windy Ridge
by Kara R. SantiagoThe go-to for families and friends to escape their usual routine is either a quick getaway to the nearest beach or a road trip up to Tagaytay for its cool breeze and yummy eats.
But if the latter has been your default mini-vacation formula for the longest time, it can honestly get pretty monotonous. Already used to frequent trips which consist of getting hot bulalo overlooking the lake and shopping for fruits and plants to take back home, you might begin to wonder, “What else can we do in Tagaytay?”
Coming in as an answered prayer is the newest luxury destination in town, Escala Tagaytay. Positioning itself as a 5-star hotel sans the exorbitant pricing, guests should expect nothing less but world-class amenities and a truly unforgettable experience. The Location
Escala Tagaytay, apart from being the It staycation destination now, is carefully planned to be located a few blocks off the main Tagaytay thoroughfare. It is quieter and calmer without sacrificing ease of access to mainstream tourist spots in the area such as Sky Ranch, Pink Sisters Convent, and Caleruega Church.
Nearby restaurants and cafes also populate the area to cater to your choice of dining for the day. If you're with the fam, head to crowd favorite Josephine Restaurant for some filling comfort fare.
The Food
Escala Tagaytay also offers in-hotel dining and is famous for their Pork Belly Bagnet, Bulalo Katipunero, and Escala Spring Roll. Don't forget to indulge in the Opera Cake for dessert! They also serve up a hearty breakfast buffet complete with a crepe and waffle station for kids (and kids at heart!) to enjoy.
Escala Tagaytay is where you can enjoy a much-deserved vacation that sits right at the edge of Batangas—and quite literally at that.
