6 Gyms in Taguig for People Who Hate Going to the Gym

by Trisha Descallar
September 18, 2018

Exercise allows the body to release endorphins, the happy hormone, triggering a positive feeling in the body. It’s the ultimate feel-good pill!

The endorphins that come with exercise are mood-enhancing, energizing, and pain-relieving; they also promote a reduction in your stress levels, decrease feelings of anxiety and depression, improve your sleep, and give an overall boost to your self-esteem. Endorphins are great! Exercise, for reluctant gym goers, well, not so much.

Going to the gym can be a pain—and sometimes painful. Some people find the constant repetition of weight lifting to be therapeutic, or the challenge of getting AMRAP—as many reps as possible—during a session of squats and burpees to be rewarding, and that’s awesome. But if you’re absolutely not one of those people, and if stepping into a testosterone-filled, gains-driven gym gives you anxiety, that’s okay too, and this list is for you. Here are 6 non-traditional gyms in Taguig for people who hate hauling their butt to the gym. If you live or work in the BGC area, these will all just be a hop, skip, and leap away—no excuses, just workouts that don’t feel like workouts.

1. Beyond Yoga

Don’t be intimidated by yoga. You don’t need to be a pretzel to get started with the practice. All you need to do is take the first step to get into the habit. Beyond Yoga believes in the transformational power and benefits of yoga for people from all walks of life, welcoming practitioners of all levels. Beyond Yoga was awarded as the #1 Yoga Studio in Metro Manila by Spot.ph in 2014, and for good reason. As their name implies, Beyond Yoga goes beyond yoga as a physical practice and aims to promote yoga as a way of life while offering other classes like AntiGravity® Fitness, Zumba, Pound, and more.
