Whether you’re a kid or a kid at heart, Subic’s Inflatable Island is a must-visit for pure, unadulterated fun.
But with so many things on your travel bucket list, scheduling a trip to the biggest floating playground in Asia might not feel like a priority. If you need more convincing, here are five fun reasons you need to spend a day at this magical attraction in Subic.
1. It's a chance to let loose.
The Philippines is famous for its beautiful beaches and lovely islands, but if you’re looking for something more than the usual sun, sand, and sea, then maybe slides, swings, slopes, and even sea unicorns will sway the equation.
You'll see all of the above at the millennial-friendly Inflatable Island, which is said to be as big as eight basketball courts combined. With that much space to run free, you can relax and let your worries drift away as you bounce, slip, and slide to your heart's content.
Some people say a day at this park is a lot like being on the TV show Wipeout. But the best part is, you can keep trying again and again and laugh it off even if you do wipeout. There's nothing like a seemingly silly activity to stock up on the feel-good vibes.
Online, you can pick a time slot for playing on the inflatables. You can choose to enjoy them for 1 hour, 2 hours, half a day, or the whole day. All of these passes will give you all-day access to the Pink Bali Lounge, the beach, and the Floating Zoo.
2. The whole place is Instagram-worthy.
Whether you’re going on a road trip to Subic or trying the 15-minute seaplane ride from Manila, the trip to Inflatable Island is totally Instagrammable.
Once you get there, your Snapchat and IG stories will be filled with the cutest things! From a Bali-inspired beachfront, to documenting your adventures (and misadventures) on the pastel explosion playground, to your #aesthetic photos on the incredibly kawaii Unicorn Island, you'll have your friends and followers drooling from all the eye candy!
And whether you’re going with your friends, your family, your coworkers, or even someone you’re dating, the experience will surely be one to remember. If you're already planning your #OOTD posts, take note that you can wear summer attire like swimsuits and shorts, but the park recommends rash guards to prevent burns. Make sure not to wear sharp accessories as well.
3. You'll burn calories.
Know how you always take time off your week to get your heart rate up and sweat out all the negative vibes? Do it through play! Feel like an American Ninja Warrior as you go through the course: from rock climbing the giant iceberg, jumping on the huge trampoline, swinging through the Monkey Vines like Tarzan, and testing your upper body strength in the Jungle Bars. It's so much fun, you won't look at workouts the same way again. Fueled by the endorphin rush, grab a healthy and colorful (and super Instagrammable!) Roccoloco bowl from the Bali Lounge.
4. Safety is a priority.
Though people come here to have fun, the safety rules in this adventure waterpark are taken very seriously. Before you can enjoy Inflatable Island's slides and obstacles, you need to attend an orientation, where you’ll be briefed of all the park’s dos, don’ts, rules, and regulations.
Before you enter, you are also required to wear a life vest. Yup, this is whether you know how to swim or not. There are also plenty of lifeguards in the playground itself for everyone’s protection, and there's a first aid station in case of emergency. They’ve definitely covered all grounds—and water—to ensure visitors’ safety.
5. Not a fan of slides? That's okay!
If you’re not one who likes to bounce and climb and swing around all day, that’s totally fine! You can chill by the beach, watch a movie, or simply lounge around—no pressure.
Fall in love with Bali Beach in an instant as you take in its vibrant tasseled umbrellas and laid-back seaside vibe. As a respite from the scorching heat, quench your thirst with a refreshing drink served in an adorable (and again, Instagrammable!) cup floater.
Aside from the gorgeous Bali Beach and the pretty Unicorn Island, there’s also an outdoor movie theater by the beach, where you can sit back and catch a flick—or the sun as it sets in the horizon, marking the end of an awesome day you'd gladly do all over again.
