11 Antipolo Resorts Perfect for a Quick Escape

Antipolo, that place made popular by a Filipino folk song, has become a destination of choice for an easy getaway in recent years.

This once sleepy town now boasts a number of establishments ranging from art galleries to restaurants. Conveniently located not too far from Manila, the province of Rizal also offers resort and recreational facilities to cater to your every budget and need.

Summer may be over, but with the schedule of upcoming long weekends, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite Antipolo resorts great for those keen to make travel plans. The best part? Most of these are just an hour away from the city.

1. Date and Dine Resort

Located on Antipolo’s top hill location, this hotel is just 5km from the Pinto Art Museum and the famous Hinulugang Taktak Falls.

Most rooms at Date and Dine Resort are air-conditioned, with themes ranging from tropical to safari and zen. Each room comes with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus tea and coffee makers. Kids aged 11 and under stay for no extra charge (1 child per room)!

Breakfast and parking are also complimentary for guests. Apart from that, bibliophiles can also make use of Date and Dine’s library and browse their wide selection of titles.

Another selling point of Date and Dine is their in-house restaurant which serves authentic Italian cuisine. Guests can enjoy their sumptuous servings of pasta and other Italian treats while dining al fresco overlooking Antipolo’s neighboring areas. (Tip: This is best done at night while overlooking the Metro Manila skyline.)

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: From EDSA Starmall or Araneta Cubao terminal, take any jeep or shuttle service going to Antipolo. From Antipolo proper, ask the tricycle drivers to take you to Beverly Hills Subdivision where Date and Dine Resort is located. (It’s not hard to find the subdivision as it is the oldest in Antipolo.)

By Private Transportation: If you have a private car, you can either go through Sumulong Highway (from EDSA heading to Marcos Highway) or to Ortigas Extension until you reach Beverly Hills Subdivision where Date and Dine Resort is located.

2. Altaroca Mountain Resort and Convention Center

What started out as a facility that caters to walk-in guests became a fully operational resort in 2012. Altaroca Mountain Resort and Convention Center, which operates under the World Citi Group of Companies, has also evolved from a venue catering to corporate clients, to an event venue for functions such as weddings, birthdays, christenings, and reunions among others.

Each of the 41 rooms in Altaroca is beautifully painted in pastel hues and decorated with inspirational quotes, which is perfect for #selfies or IG posts. Also available at Altaroca is their in-house restaurant specializing in Asian and local cuisine.

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: From Cubao, take a jeepney going to Antipolo Sumulong Simbahan (Sumulong Church). Ask the driver to drop you off at Taktak Road. Once you reach Taktak Road, take a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off at Altaroca.

By Private Transportation: From EDSA, drive along Marcos Highway until you reach Taktak Road in Antipolo. From there, look out for Altaroca Mountain Resort. There is parking available at the resort, though with limited slots.

3. Loreland Farm Resort

This 49-room property located in Barangay San Roque, Antipolo City started out as a private family resort and opened its doors to the public in 1997. Each room at Loreland Farm Resort has Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a private bathroom with a hot and cold shower.

The property also has a playground available for younger guests staying at the resort. A sauna and spa can also be accessed at the resort where guests can enjoy a relaxing massage. Verde, Loreland Farm Resort’s in-house restaurant, also serves local and international dishes. If you’re looking for a place to pray and reflect, this resort also has a chapel and Stations of the Cross.

Loreland Farm Resort is also conveniently located within driving distance of two of Antipolo’s historical landmarks. A 7-minute drive from the property will lead you to the famous Hinulugang Taktak Falls, while a 15-minute drive brings you to the Antipolo Cathedral.

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: From Starmall in EDSA or Cubao, ride any jeep bound for Antipolo Sumulong. Tell the driver to drop you off at Unciano Medical Center. Loreland Farm Resort can be accessed within a few minutes of walking.

By Public Transportation: From Marcos Highway, drive along Sumulong Highway until you reach Circumferential Road, and make a right turn until you reach Unciano Medical Center. From Unciano Medical Center, follow the signs leading to Loreland Farm Resort.

4. LeBlanc Hotel

“Antipolo is the next great staycation destination. LeBlanc is the best there.“ That's the slogan of this three-star resort retreat with the mountains of Antipolo as its backdrop.

Located close to Antipolo's Barangay Dela Paz, this hotel with 32 rooms started out as a family vacation home, but the owners eventually decided to open it to the public in 2012. In 2017, it became LeBlanc Hotel.

Its sleek architecture combined with tropical details makes it an ideal choice venue for weddings and other occasions this side of Rizal. A single deluxe room will cost you around P4,000 and includes access to most of LeBlanc Hotel's amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool and free buffet breakfast.

If you're looking for a luxury venue with a feel of home close to Manila, LeBlanc Hotel should be on top of your list.

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: Ride any jeep or shuttle service bound to Antipolo/ Sumulong Highway. Ask the driver to drop you off at the New Antipolo Public Market. From the New Antipolo Market, LeBlanc Hotel can be reached within a few minutes of walking.

By Public Transportation: From EDSA, turn right to Cubao Aurora and drive along Marcos Highway until you reach Masinag Market located in Sumulong Highway. From there, drive straight until you see the New Antipolo Public Market, which is located next to LeBlanc Hotel.

5. Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens and Spa

Opened in 2016 by the same team behind the 8-hectare Loreland Farm Resort, Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens and Spa is one of the few wellness resorts in Antipolo. Situated by Antipolo’s mountainside, Luljetta's Hanging Gardens Spa is the perfect destination for people looking for a place to de-stress, relax, and get pampered while enjoying spectacular views of Laguna de Bay, Antipolo, and Metro Manila.

Guests at Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens and Spa are provided access to most of its facilities—they can choose to stay in any of the spa's bamboo casitas (little houses) while being pampered. Towels and robes are included in the package as well as complimentary snacks of tanglad (lemongrass) tea served with Antipolo’s famous suman (sticky rice pudding wrapped in palm leaves). What gives Luljetta’s an edge over similar resorts is its hydro-massage pool which provides a unique and soothing treatment that isn’t commonly found in most spas. This relaxing treatment provide a similar experience to taking a dip in a hot spring while enjoying a one-of-a-kind massage.

While you're at it, don’t miss the chance to have your photo taken with the picturesque tropical landscape as your backdrop.

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: Take any jeep or UV express with the Antipolo/ Sumulong sign. Tell the driver to drop you off at the McDonald’s located at Unciano Medical Center. From there, make a right turn until you see a sign leading to Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens and Spa.

By Public Transportation: From EDSA, drive straight to Marcos Highway until you reach the intersection of Taktak Road. From there, make a left turn at Hamaka (Triangle) Park close to Ynares Sports Center. Follow the road leading to the McDonald’s at Unciano Medical Center. From Unciano Medical Center, turn right until you see a sign leading to Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens and Spa.

6. Seven Suites Hotel Observatory

A hotel with a fully functional telescope—how cool is that? Seven Suites Hotel Observatory is the only hotel observatory in the Philippines (to date) with the fourth largest telescope in the country that allows guests to explore heavenly bodies.

Operated by the people behind the Cravings Group of Companies, this hotel is situated along the hillside of Sumulong Highway in Antipolo City, and offers a spectacular view of Manila at night. Apart from the telescope, guests can also enjoy the food selection at Seven Suites Hotel Observatory restaurant or enjoy their sweet offerings at the in-house dessert bar.

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: From Cubao, take any jeep bound for Antipolo/ Sumulong and tell the driver to drop you off at the Hollywood Hills Subdivision where the resort is located.

By Private Transportation: From Marcos Highway, drive straight to Sumulong Highway in Antipolo. Once in Sumulong Highway, enter the Hollywood Hills Subdivision where the resort is located.

7. Villa Elisha

Dubbed as a 'family forest hideaway', Villa Elisha is a series of rented villas conveniently tucked into the forest of the Phillips Sanctuary which is part of the Sierra Madre range. Named after the owner’s daughter, this 30-hectare private forest sanctuary can accommodate up to 15 people in any of their villas equipped with three bedrooms and a loft for sleeping.

Villa Elisha also offers an array of activities which can be enjoyed by guests staying in the area. Guests can hike and explore the forest trail surrounding the villa, or have the option to swim, fish, and hike. Apart from that, guests can also enjoy harvesting fruits that are in season found at the sanctuary. Villa Elisha also offers guided tours as well as team building activities, which can be arranged prior to your visit.

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: From Cubao/ Starmall Shaw, take a jeepney or shuttle service going to Cogeo and tell the driver to drop you off at Cogeo Market. From Cogeo Market, ride a Paenaan jeep and ask the driver to drop you at Cabading. Once in Cabading, ride a tricycle which will take you to Phillip’s Sanctuary where Villa Elisha is located.

Another option is to take a jeepney bound to Pintong Bocaue from Cogeo Market and tell the driver you are heading to Phillip’s Sanctuary, which is walking distance from the drop off point.

By Private Transportation: From Aurora Cubao or Katipunan, drive straight down Marcos Highway until you reach the Masinag Intersection which will lead you to Sumulong Highway. Once you’ve reached Sumulong Highway, make a left turn from Cabading intersection. A 5-10 minute drive from Cabading intersection will take you to Phillip’s Sanctuary where Villa Elisha is located.

8. Citywalk Suites

Established in 2014, Citywalk Suites Apartment is a hospitality management service company owned by Designfield Trading and Services Inc. which provides luxury apartments at a reasonable price in Antipolo. At present, Citywalk Suites has three locations in Antipolo operating simultaneously.

A recent addition to the Citywalk Suites is the Garden Hive Events Place. With its sleek, mid-century architecture, many people consider it one of the trendiest venue in Antipolo. Since it opened, it has catered to occasions ranging from birthdays to weddings to product launches.

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: From Cubao/ Starmall, ride any jeep or shuttle service bound for Antipolo/ Sumulong. Tell the driver to drop you at Barangay San Roque where Citywalk Suites is located.

By Private Transportation: From Marcos Highway, head straight until you reach Masinag Market (located on the left side of the road). Drive until you reach Circumferential Road and make a right turn until you reach Unciano Medical Center. From Unciano Medical Center, drive towards Barangay San Roque where Citywalk Suites is located.

9. Cattleya Resort

Originally an orchidarium, the owners of Cattleya in San Roque decided to turn it into an independent recreation place where guests can not only enjoy the fantastic view of the scenery but have a homey experience as well. Cattleya Resort boasts all the amenities needed to make your stay a memorable one, and has 14 individual pools and rest houses which you can rent at different price points starting at P5,000.

Fun Fact: The rest houses are actually named after the owner’s grandchildren, the first of these houses being Corazon.

How to Get There

By Public Transportation: From Cubao, Market-Market, or Ortigas, take a shuttle or jeepney bound for Antipolo which will take you to the city center with the Antipolo Cathedral and Antipolo Market as landmarks. From there, ask the tricycle driver to take you to Cattleya Resort.

By Private Transportation: Driving to the resort, you can either take the Ortigas Extension or Sumulong Highway. Once you’ve reached Antipolo proper, the easiest landmark to find is the Ynares Sports Center. From there, you will notice Unciano Medical Center and a gasoline station. Turn right and go straight in that direction until the second intersection. After about 500 meters, you will see Cattleya Resort on the right side of the road.

10. Louisse Private Resort

Situated within the Antipolo/Taytay border and occupying a 1,000 sqm. lot is this private resort overlooking the east side of Metro Manila. Louisse Private Resort offers a breathtaking view and a relaxing ambience—you'll feel like you've checked into a boutique hotel!—which you and your company will surely enjoy.

This two-storey private venue is priced at P8,000 to P15,000 a night, which is relatively affordable especially if you’re staying as a group. Guests can avail of standard resort amenities such as TV and Wi-Fi, or sing their heart out with the videoke. Guests also have the option to cook; kitchen utensils are not provided for free, but can be rented at P150 for a set which includes pans, pots, chopping boards, knives, can opener, and grater, among others.

How to Get There

The best option is to bring your own car and drive past the Ortigas Extension route, entering Melendres Lifehomes Village. Once inside the subdivision, head to Leon corner Manuel St., where Louisse Private Resort is located.

11. Mount Purro Nature Reserve

Commune with nature at this sprawling forest sanctuary, where you can relax surrounded by lush greenery and fresh, calming air. Stay in a Romantic Casita for 2, a Tranquil Cabin for 4, or a Loft Cottage for 6. You'll never run out of activities in this nature retreat, whether you're up for a guided hike or a river trek, or simply want to laze around by the pool or indulge in a scrumptious lunch buffet.

How to Get There

Along Aurora Boulevard/Marcos Highway, you can take a jeep going to Cogeo. From Cogeo, take another jeep that says Paenaan. Tell the driver you would be going down at Kanto Veterans. From there, ride 2 tricycles to Mount Purro Nature Reserve in Barangay Calawis (P130 for the 2 trikes).
